FAQs

What happens during a 15-minute consultation?

Think of this as a brief coffee chat to see if we're a good fit. During our consultation, I'll learn about what brings you to therapy and answer any questions you have about my approach or the process. You'll get a feel for my style, and I'll share how I might support you on your journey. There's no pressure, just an opportunity for us to connect and see if working together feels right for both of us.

What can I expect in therapy?

Every person's therapy experience is unique, but here's what you can count on: a warm, collaborative space where your whole story matters. We'll start by exploring what brought you here and what you hope to achieve. I draw from proven methods like Family Systems Theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy, but I adapt my approach to what works best for you.

Sessions typically involve exploring patterns, understanding emotions, and developing new ways of connecting with yourself and others. You'll always be the expert on your own life. I'm here to walk alongside you, ask thoughtful questions, and offer insights that help you move from feeling stuck to feeling alive and connected.

I'm nervous about starting therapy for the first time. Is that normal?

Absolutely. Feeling nervous about therapy is completely normal and actually shows real courage. Starting therapy means you're ready to invest in yourself, and that takes bravery.

I understand what it's like to sit in that waiting room for the first time, wondering what you've gotten yourself into. My approach is designed to put you at ease from the moment we meet. We'll go at your pace, and you're in control of what you share and when.

Many first-time clients tell me they're surprised by how natural our conversations feel. I'm not here to analyze or judge you. I'm here to create a space where you can be authentically yourself and explore what matters most to you. Your nervousness will likely ease as we build trust together, and that's all part of the process.

Remember: you already have everything you need inside you. I'm just here to help you access it.

Do you offer workshops and seminars?

While my primary focus is on individual and couples therapy, I'm always exploring ways to connect with and support our community. If you're interested in group learning opportunities or workshops, I'd be happy to discuss what workshops I currently offer or recommend new topics that align with your interests during our work together.
